Week 7, Activity 1 - Digital Footprints and Digital Dossiers

     What are digital footprints and digital dossiers? Well, if you look at the words, you might tell that they are related to a person's identity, and that's right! But do you know anything else about them? If you don't know, don't worry! Because I am Thanumi, the great detective, and I am going to help you find out! So below are the clues that I found during my deep examination.

      1. What is digital footprint?

• Think before posting, or sending
• Use the right settings
• Be safety-conscious

1. What is a digital dossier?

• Online Information of a person's identity which is collected and continued by others and him/her before the birth and even after death. So basically, digital footprint is just a tiny part of digital dossier.

       
      2. Examples :

• Sonogram image
• Growth (first time to sit, talk, walk)
• Habits and interests
• Talents​

So now you know something about these two things. Both things are a bit dangerous because anybody can see them! Hopefully, you will be careful from now on. Internet is really good, but if you have a bad digital footprint or a bad digital dossier,  you are in a huge risk. Well, I hope you got your answer by now.
