My favorite place...

Hello Everyone! Today, I am going to tell you about one of my favorite places around the world. 5 years ago, when I was about 7 years old, I visited an amazing place called 'Horton Plains,' which is located in central highlands of Sri Lanka. Me and my family went there early in the morning hoping to see all the things, but since it was a bit foggy and misty, we couldn't see anything clearly. However, we didn't have to wait that longer, because the sun shone brightly after few minutes, making the mist run away. Do you want to know about its weather? Well then, imagine of the cold wind passing by, making you feel like you are flying in the sky!

I have heard that there are many types of species in Horton Plains, but unluckily,  all I saw was a huge Sri lankan sambar deer, who was sneaking around to steal our food, a purple faced monkey, and a grizzled giant squirrel who is the national animal of Sri Lanka. I am sure that you are going to love the plants such as forest canopy, myrtaceae, lauraceae, orchidaceae and ochlandra.

There are 2 wonderful waterfalls that I have seen in Horton Plains. Baker's Falls is the waterfall formed by Belihul water stream, a tributary of the Walawe river is named after Sir Samuel Baker, a hunter and explorer, who attempted to establish a European agricultural settlement at Nuwara Eliya. Baker falls are 20 meters high. Slab Rock Falls is the other waterfall which is also well known in Horton Plains. But honestly, I like Baker Falls than the Slab Rock Falls.

Have you ever seen to the end of  the world? Of course you can't see, because our planet is round. But in Horton Plains, you can see the end of the world! Don't believe me? Read more to know about it. In Horton Plains, there is a place called 'World's End.' I
t is a sheer cliff, with a drop of about 4,000 feet! You can have a fantastic view from up there. Well, I wasn't that brave enough to go to the edge and see it, even if my parents told me that it is perfect. Did I mention that I am afraid of heights? If you are also scared, you can simply go to the Small World's End.  It is 1 km away from the main cliff and it is a smaller cliff with a 1,000 feet drop. The Indian Ocean, which is 81 km away to the south, can be seen on clear days from there.

I enjoyed my visit so much! If you want to have a great experience just like me, go ahead and visit Horton Plains. How did you like my post? Don't forget to share your great thoughts with me!

Hello everyone!
Do you know how to comment on my blog?
If not, no need to worry. Because I am going to teach you how to do it.

First, choose the post that you want to comment on. Then, look for the word 'comment.'

Every post has two places to comment. First place is located just a bit below the title of my post. Second place is, at the end of the post. When you click the word 'comment,' it will take you to another page. You will be able to see all the comments and replies for that post. If you go down just a little bit more,  you will be able to see a form called, leave a reply. Fill each detail in the each respective section.

Do you have a trouble of  visiting my blog again and seeing the reply to your comment?
Don't worry, there is an easy way.  Just click on the box beside 'notify me of new comments to this post by email.' You will get my reply easily through gmail! Then, simply submit it.

If you want to reply to someone's comment,  click reply button,  which is located below the comment.
Then you will get another form called, leave a reply. Just fill it and submit it. There you go, you learned everything about how to comment on my blog!

Hello everyone!
This is my new avatar. Let me tell you why I chose her by using a poem.

This is my brand new avatar,
With bright eyes just like a star,
She will smile at people who are kind,
She will say thank you even if you don't mind.

   Her face is round,
   Just like pound,
So she has got to be,
   Just like me.

   I also have short hair,
   Which I mostly don't care,
   Please! Just let me share,
To leave your thoughts since they are rare.

So, I think you have a brief idea about my avatar. I chose her because she looks exactly like me.
I am really sorry because I forgot to tell you about the link that I made this avatar. I will tell that by using a tiny rhyming line.
Here it is,
    I love the color pink,
And here is the link. -  http://avatarmaker.com/
